What is the IPL Auction Rules 2018?
Team Squad
When someone is going to set one bid price on one player or on the team then to get that cricketer you need to make a higher amount bid call compare than the previous highest bid’s value. Then according to our cricketer team Maximum 25 players are allowed in one team. Minimum 18 players must be Indian players in the team, and 8 overseas players.
Uncapped Players
In 2018 IPL Auction uncapped players base value is INR 10 lakh. Low category player value Rs20 lakh and for upper categorie’s value INR 30 to 40 lakhs.
Capped Players
IPL Auction Rules for capped players are remaining same. Higher category player value INR 2 crore to INR 1 crore. Lower categorie’s players value INR 50 to INR 75 lakhs.
Retention Price Of Players
- In auction wallet 33 crore will be reduced if you retain three players.
- In auction wallet 21 crore will be reduced if you retain two players.
- In auction wallet 12.5 crore will be reduced if you retain only one player.
- We can retain up to 3 players in one team. Maximum 3 Indian players or 2 uncapped players or 2 foreign players.
Maximum 3 RTM in IPL Auction 2018
RTM stands for Right to Match. In the simple word, RTM is offering one chance for all eight IPL teams to retain the any certain player or players, who they can’t retain during the pre-auction retention.
- We can use up to 3 RTM, if you didn’t retain any of the players.
- If you retain 2 players or 1 player, 3RTM can be used.
- 2 RTM can be used if team retains 3 players.
In this method you can retain a player from its exact amount sold at auction. For e.g.: if RCB didn’t retain Chahal and MI purchased him for 5 crore, at that moment RCB can use RTM to retain Chahal by paying 5 crore.
